Game Very Choppy

Hey guys i just downloaded Arma 2 today because I thought DayZ looked like a great mod. After installation i joined a server with my friend (Also his first time) and the game was really really choppy. My framerate was probably at 5. He was playing with almost 30 fps. I was on very low settings btw. I was wondering if this is a common problem i can fix or because of my computer.

Heres my specs. Quad Nvidia i7 @ 1.2 GHz

8GB ram

Nvidia GeForce 335M 1GB graphics card

Keep in mind im running this on a 12 inch laptop.

Thanks for your time guys. Help is appreciated, i really wanna enjoy and play this game.

Your processor speed is probably what's hindering your performance. I don;t believe 1.2 GHz is enough to effectively play the game. I have 2.8 GHz processor and I can barely muster 35 FPS.
