Looking Into Possibly A New US Server

Recommended Posts

Just got a few questions, mainly for server hosters.

1. I read that 2TB is really the minimum I can have for a full month, how accurate is this?

2. How reliable for 50 players would a VDS from say, NFOServers, be? I have other solutions but it requires the players to throw in more dough.

3. Is there any type of reserved slots script for ArmA? I look to run entirely off of donations so naturally this would he handy.

For the community:

1. Is another US server really needed?

2. Would you guys pay for a reserved slot, even if it required you to contact me and let me know to kick someone?

Thanks for answering my noob questions!

1) Pretty accurate. 1TB - 2TB per server in bandwidth depending on load and number of slots.

2) The four core VDS from NFO servers is great. I use the eight core package for my two DayZ severs + minecraft and tf2

3) Reserve slots are not available or allowed per DayZ hosting rules.

Edit: whoa, stupid iPad and lack of sleep. I just necro'd a really old thread. -_- Oh well, this information may be useful to somebody :P
