Crazy Problems(Starting Up, Graphical Lag)

Recommended Posts

So i deleted all of my arma 2 and arrow head folders, re installed both games, downloaded six updater, updated, then ran six launcher and did all that stuff(verifying and all that jazz) and launched. Arma 2 took about 15 minutes to get to the main menu and even though i set all the graphics to the lowest possible setting and disabled a few things like shadows and postprocessing, i still got a ton of lag.

I have a pretty awesome computer with a brand new EVGA GTX550TI graphics card so i don't understand how i would get lag. I play every other game on ultra graphics with 45+ FPS..

Somebody please help me out.

PS

I've already ran Steam as Admin and i verified the integrety of game cache

Also, sometimes when i launch, i get a error saying Addon "dayz_anim" requires addon ca_counterattack something something

So are you running plain old Arma? or are you starting up Arma with DayZ?

Try running the game without DayZ. See if the normal, unmodded game will launch without a problem.
