Groups in DayZ

Suggestion: Making groups for Day Z to increase the cooperative experience.

Suggestions:

1) In the player list "P" you will be able to select people and send a group invite for them.

2) When you are in a group and on a server with nameplates enabled, the nameplate will be another color, easy to recognize.

3) If you posses a map, you should be able to locate yourself and groupies on the map.

4) The Group Channel, should be only available for your group.

5) Friendly fire will still be enabled.

Just a short idea I had, hope it will be an opportunity.

2. BF3-style nameplates? No thanks.

3. No. Too unrealistic. If all of you had gps + maps then yeah. I'd agree.

4. What do you mean? Like a global in-game chat for only the group? Sure, why not. People use VoIP programs anyway.

There is already a chat in the game that you can use with people close to you.

Having a group option in this game woud be useless imo. Since there would be ff on, this would'nt work. People you grouped up with would kill you or you would kill them just like now. Nothing would change.

If ff would be off in a group and if you left your group there would be clear notification about it and ff would stay off for a little while, this could work.

Or you can band together without having all this stuff to be coded, tested and implemented.
