Lag when zoomed with binoculars and scope

I hav been having some trouble when it comes to using the binoculars and scopes. I know this may be a arma 2 issue. What I wanted to know of there was a way to get better performance with the zooming. I can run the game very well with no lag l, however the scopes screw me over.

I average 60~80 fps on all high settings.

You might want to try adjusting your view distance, something could be out-of-whack with that.
