Item Spawning

I am quite curious as to how the item system works in Dayz. The few questions i have:

Do certain items spawn in certain areas/houses? If so, what items where?

How long is the cycle for item spawns?

Does anything determine what items will spawn or is it completely random?

Thanks for your time, ill add more questions if they arise.
