DayZ FPS Issue

Recommended Posts

Whenever I start DayZ it plays at about 30 FPS (sometimes) then later it drops down to 10-20 FPS even if I don't move.

Specs:

GPU - AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB

CPU - AMD Bulldozer FX-4100 (Quad Core) 3.6GHz

RAM - 8GB DDR3 1333MHz

People have told me that my computer should be able to run DayZ on Max settings with no problem and yet I have major FPS issues.

Is it overheating? :S A well deserved restart could fix it too,

The computer doesn't seem to be getting overheated and I restart the computer every night before I go to sleep.

GPU drivers up to date?

I have tried 12.6, 12.7, and 12.8. Do you think I should try different ones?

Turn off AA and reduce HDR.

What someone told you what that card can do and what it actually does are two different things.

I have AA turned off and HDR to it's minimum. Someone I know actually has the same GPU and can run DayZ at about 50 FPS.

Turn off AA,VSync and try it again.

I have AA, VSync and Post Process effect all turned off.

You got the box right?

Or just go into your computer properties.

Well I don't have the box and where is the computer properties? If you mean right clicking on Computer then click properties then I don't see any Model for GPU there.
