Well, rocket has taken out humanity. I'm pretty sure he will find something similar to this.

Maybe a class system or something like this. Let's just sit and wait.

@Topic: Most people are against my idea. I understand this and I assume that all of you are playerkillers. It's an interesting experiment, this thread. It tells me a lot.

Healing broken bones with morphine in ten minutes is unrealistic, too. So please spare me with your realism.

It's a game and it should be fun. It makes a lot of fun now, but I still think it could be better.

I'm just trying to improve the roleplaying aspect of the game and all I have to read are comments like: "I won't feel guilty."

I know how you people in the USA are like, but I'm talking about a game and how to improve it. If you have better ideas, feel free to post them here and keep your rubbish for yourself.

I'm from the US and I must say that I agree 100%! HAHAHA. People here can be A-holes.

But I do understand where your coming from on the "role playing" aspect. I think it's a quite good idea. I think that there should be more effects.... Maybe spontaneous combustion? OR God strikes them with lightning! :lol: :beans: ?

***No but really, I think that a bounty - such as a bounty from a Red Dead Redemption perspective - should be placed on people... something that indicates to other people where a killer was last spotted. Whether it be a sign, or something that pops up on the HUD I don't know... but your on to something good.

No one here really understands the whole concept of realism or what a person will really do in the real world if a zombie apocalypse were to happen, you all would be dead within the first week of the apocalypse. A human being can not live without being with or being in contact with another human being with them. I know all of you will resent that and say its fucking bullshit and lies, its called "psychological" effects, you will be driven insane and you will kill yourself because you feel that you are the only one alive and you have no reason to even live. With that yes people will kill each other but they won't do it just for "fun" like everyone does in this mod, they will do it in self preservation, kill a few people to keep yourself (or your group) alive longer, of course a human will not shoot a person on sight they will ask "is this person (or group of people) hostile to me (or my group)" If the person (or group) prove themselves to be hostile you will either A: immobilize them or B: kill them.

When you lump everyone (indicated by 'you all') into one category you make yourself look incompetent. Not saying you are, but you are coming off that way.

I'll go ahead and get behind this. In MGS4, apparently if you kill too many people your character throws up in disgust. And I do find it funny how vehemently people insist that killing people in a videogame is just like killing them in real life.

Murder is primarily the result of psychological trauma and neurological damage, not something sane people do in order to get a can of beans and a cool gun. And serial killers are rarely charismatic, sociable people with strong family ties. They're mostly loners and antisocial who can't function well in society.

Well, I had the idea of making people playing together and I have to admit, I'm a little bit surprised about the reactions here.

I don't think the devs intended people to shoot at each other on sight like in call of duty.

I don't think the dev's intended anything in particular, Rocket has already said he likes the way the game is, and how it's organically grown to suit the way people want it to be. If the majority of people didn't want to kill on site they wouldn't be. But guess what, they do. Hell if they weren't this game would have a 5 minute play value, because let's face it. There's not a whole lot else to do once you get basic supplies.

THis topic is senseless. This game is a PvP game ...thats the Point... PVP !!! There is no senseless player killing !

It's a survival/horror zombie apocalypse sim with a PvP element. Retards need to realise that camping in a bush, looking into Elektro, sniping people just for +1 murder is not 'the point'.

On topic - this idea sucks. I don't think killing people makes you faint somehow...

Don't like this idea as its a one sided suggestion. Although I'm not a bandit as myself, I've also killed several other players just because they were too far into my comfort zone or were pointing their gun at me. Why should I feel guilty when I am defending myself?

Well, I'm starting to think, I was wrong with my suggestion. It's only comfortable for people like me, who want DayZ to be more of a roleplaying kind of game.

Most people seem to think PvP is cool, but that's the point. There is a very sophisicated PvP content in DayZ, but where is PvE? Maybe chernaurus has to be a living hell as has been stated in another thread, to make people play together. And in this, my thread, one guy said that there is nothing to do when you got your basic gear. I know. When looting zombies, they have a can of pepsi with them, if you're lucky, and nothing more.

I think there has to be a hard PvE content to prevent players killing each other because it's "fun". OK, I thought over it overnight. Maybe my idea wasn't so great at all.

But you shouldn't forget, that all I want is to improve the game, so there is no reason to push my ideas in the dirt. A simple "no" and then a "no because" is sufficient.

That seems incredibly unrealistic. I'm on the fence about identifying bandits, but I don't think they should have extreme negative effects on their gameplay, if anything just a small visual or audio cue to let people around them know they aren't trusted, some sort of reputation system.

This isn't a game its a MOD a fucking MOD, you and every other bandit plays this mod like its call of duty, hell do you even know the REAL reason why this mod was made in the first place? I'm guessing you don't, this mod was made to SIMULATE a zombie apocalypse as if it were to happen in the real world, in the real world everyone smart enough to band together to SURVIVE not go guns a blazing killing the entire fucking human race off, and something tells me your a fucking nazi against all human beings,

I've never killed another player, save a friend of mine when we were messing around.

I simply support the bandits and look forward to trying it out. You can speculate, but you can't truly say what would happen to someone's mind in a scenario such as an apocalypse.

The mod is a social experiment and I know this. Experiments can have many kinds of results.

You say 98% of the population are zombies, that's fine. But there are certainly many of us still alive. There are a buttload of people that play this mod.

And your reaction is part of the experiment. In a zombie apocalypse I think you'd be the guy running around asking why we can't all get along. Someone would probably shoot you in the head to put you out of your (or their) misery.

Take out the PvP element and the game dies . Its the thrill running through elektro and not knowing if someone will attack you. Is there anyone afraid of those zombies ? :D
