taking packs

just came across an alice pack and dropped my czech backpack in order to pick it up but when i scroll over it all it says is gear. there's no other option to take pack or anything like that. help? and i lost the czech pack when i put it down, but im not really heartbroken about that

you have to take all the stuff that is under the backpack then you will get the option to pick it up

If the backpack is floating you need to pick up everything else under it first. Also check the gear screen to see if the backpack is listed at the bottom and equip it that way.
