Problem: Content Missing

Recommended Posts

I have viewed tutorials and downloaded all the items that I need to play DayZ but when I try to join a server, I keep getting the same message appearing,

"You cannot play/edit this mission; it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted.chernarus"

If anyone know's what I have to do to fix this, I would appreciate it greatly.

Thank you.

Chernarus is the map the mod uses. It means that you didn't start the game as combined operations. Do you have the retail or the steam version of the game?

In case you own the steamversion, follow these steps:

1) Install both games

2) run Steam as administrator

3) run Arma 2 untill you see the menue screen and exit again

4) run Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead untill you see the menue screen and exit again

(3&4 are necessary for steam to realise you got everything to launch combined operations)

5) install dayZ (I prefer the mannual way)

6) double click (or select "play") on Operation Arrowhead in your steam library, a window will now open giving you 4 options

7) select "Launch Arma 2: Combined Operations" and click on "play"

Edit: I've just read in another forum thread that someone had to install the two games after each other (first Arma 2 then Operation Arrowhead in order to be able to launch combined operations)

This seems to be the same problem as in this thread:

http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=6829&pid=63591#pid63591

If you own the retail version or should still be unable to launch the mod, please let me know in the other thread and I'll try to find a solution.

Hope I could help.

Thank you, I will try this all now and the thread that you posted is the exact same problem.

Once I have tried all the steps, I will let you know if it fixed it.

Again, thank you :).

P.S. It is the steam version, seemed the best way to get the game.
