Names Of Trust

Recommended Posts

Well, new player here, so Hello survivors & bandits!

IVe been following the game for about a week now, and if im gonna be honest ive not actually even bought the game yet ( i know, i suck!) - But now i just have!

Ive been watching friends streams, youtube vids and anything else relating to dayz for a week now, and i must admit - regardless of the trollers + haters, this mod is absolutely outstanding looking, so well done for that Rocket!

Now one thing i do come across constantly through forums, streams, rants - is the "lack" of trust.

This to me, makes the mod all the more sweet, that adrenaline feel when coming across a player and instinctively not known whether or not to trust or shoot?

That to me makes the game, but i also noticed in threads, there would always be the "random" guy who is amazing, helpful, friendly - and these are the type of people who genuinely bring a good aura to the game, while trying to survive.

So dont bash me if this has already been done, or if its even a bad idea...cause i havent seen any yet.

But i want to make a "Trust" thread - a place to put the names or storys of people who deserved to be named, due to there valiant offers just to help people.

Now i know EVERYONE will have come across bandits, but this thread is to name those who are actually friendly and help, this way it gives people a great idea of "Who to look out for" while gaming.

Heres a great example story!

"RE: Day Z...WAS.....fun

Today I had my second direct contact with random survivor, and he was willing to scout me to the hospital across Cherno just for me to get a blood transfusion.

I unfortunately died on the way, as I had only 2k blood and zombies attacked but damn, it was nice having him.

If you guys pass through Sightless, trust him."

(If its a bad idea, or been done, lock and throw away!) :)

I for one, am a helper + survivor! So feel free to look me up when i soon start to play! (1hr remaining!)

Repost from last week, but relevant to this thread:

I was looting Zelenogorsk a few days ago and kept seeing some one ask for a transfusion. The guy seemed pretty desperate so I figured I'd ask where he was to see if I was willing to make the trek to help the guy; turns out him and his party were just arriving at the southern end of Zelen, so I told him I would meet them and help the guy out.

I was pretty sure I was walking into a trap and was going to get a bullet in the brain, but I met up with the group with no shots being fired and gave the transfusion without incident. I figured that would be the end of it and I started heading back to my looting, but I noticed the guy I had helped, who's name was James, left his group and was following me. I was a bit on edge about this at first, but I reasoned if they were going to try anything it would have been while they were in a group and I was out-gunned, so I asked if he needed a rifle and when he said yes I told him I would escort him to the barns in the NE of town to grab some gear.

We were sneaking through backyards and across streets with no real issues when a zed spawned directly in front of me and went instant-aggro. I booked it into the nearby field with the zombie in tow and checked to make sure James was alright, but saw that he had three right on his ass, so I cut between him and the zombies to draw their attention and once I'm a good deal away from town I unload my Winchester and remedy the situation. After that was taken care of we continued our journey to the barns without any further conflict, and I escort him safely back to his group.

The instant we met up with his group I get disconnected, so I don't know what happened after that, but in a land of bandits and turncoats, I'd like to think I made at least a small difference.

TL;DR: Gave a transfusion to a total stranger, escorted him through town for better gear, saved his life on the way, and got him safely back to his group.

As long as you don't point your gun at me (for too long) and don't sprint up to me, or are a bandit sniping other players... (Yeah, yeah, yeah.. I know, long list)

Then yes, consider me friendly :)

Ps. I feel like there should be a stickied list of "Friendly" players..

Well - By now i thought there woulda been a sticky of friendlies tbh, but i guess this will do!

Its not only good seeing the names of those who are trusted, but also reading the storys as to why they are trusted.

Im not a big RP fan - but you gotta admit, this mod really brings out the RP in most people. :P

Great storys guys, keep em coming!

I'm more than willing to help out if asked, but mostly I just go about my business collecting things and killing Zeds. If I see someone in a building or town I'll ignore that they are even there unless they ask from something on chat.

Worked out well so far, only been shot twice by bandits and once in a mutual death Survivor thing were we scared the crap out of each other and started firing.

Game name is Jacque or (7thAST) Jacque if you need help
