Server Hopping (Suggestion to Fix)

Rocket,

Server Hopping to gain the advantage while in a fight is in my opinion exploiting the way the game is meant to be played. The group I play with has encountered this scenario several times in the past couple days. We would be in a standoff with another group, legitimately trying to take them down and people would just constantly disconnect and reconnect moments later behind us etc.

We have discussed this amongst ourselves, and would like to offer some suggestions to combat this, as it is very unfair.

Suggestion: Make a time limit delay on joining a different server than the one you were on.

Suggestion: Server side character locations, if you don't make it to a certain point on a specific server, you spawn at the coast instead, just like a fresh spawn.

In my opinion this would be a fairly easy fix, possibly even just by adding this delay within BattleEye.

I believe this to be the biggest problem next to true hacking of the game. It is purely exploiting to gain an unfair advantage in most situations. Just like the "exploit" of unlimited ammo with some gun types (which is due to be fixed), this problem is a more persistent problem with how the game is played.

Any additions to this are certainly welcomed, and possibly better solutions toward the overall goal of fixing this!

To fix server hopping just get rid of the static character. Every server you join should be a new start. This way players will make "home" servers. This would also help the community in my opinion.

I myself do hop servers sometime, i don't exploit it i think.

Some servers run empty later at night and suddenly you are on a server with only 3 people, i dont like playing on an empty server, so i find another one.

Sometimes i like playing in the dark, sometimes i like to play in daylight, my mood can swing when i'm in a game, i just find a safe spot abort that server and find a day or night server again, i dont think that is unfair.

Sometimes a server starts to get laggy, well im out of there then too.

Sometimes there is a mate online and i like to play with him, hes on different server, i hop again.

The real problem is when u run into a bad guy and a standoff situation occurs, and you think a dude is in a building, you try to flush them out busy for an hour and then u find out they are gone.

Bigger problem even is when they really abuse the posibility to spawn behind you and kill u, thats really fckup.

Regarding server hopping, I don't consider it exploiting when you're trying to find a decent server. If you are "Hopping servers" to gain advantage, whether it's by killing someone or for loot purposes. It's still an unfair advantage. That's what I meant.

I appreciate the upcoming implementation as do so many others I'm sure.
