Mokretsy 15 Posted May 25, 2012 Perhaps already been proposed(did not find anything through the search, however), but it would be interesting with different physical conditions for characters. For example, stereotypical for simplicity: Fat, skinny, and in between. The fat, fare better without food, but moves more slowly. Boney does the opposite. And in between, in between. And so on. Of course, you should not be able to choose your characters physical condition(only gender) yourself, that should be randomly selected at character creation. Survival has nothing to do with justice. Your basic condition determines the size of the challenge to survive. Varying degrees of challenge = stimulating as hell!
Reaper (DayZ) 2 Posted May 25, 2012 I like the idea of differing body shapes/sizes but I'm not a big fan of randomly selected body types/perks to each body type. I think it kind of sandbags someone into a role (slow mover, stay on coast due to longer travel time inland, fast mover always inland) and some people may not like that.I think something like body types/perks would factor in well if a class/stats system was ever implemented (which I'd say is pretty unlikely). DarkMagik 0 Posted May 25, 2012 I personally, think this is a horrible idea. But that's my opinion. I just don't like the idea of having to eat food more or less & running slower or faster. I mean, a faster runner could get a train on zombies and run past a slow person and just let them get attacked by the zombies. Not to mention for the "bigger/slower" person, they won't be able to find cover as fast when they are being shot at.
Mokretsy 15 Posted May 25, 2012 Well, guess being "the fat guy" in a survival crew isn't always that hmm enjoyable.I personally' date=' think this is a horrible idea. But that's my opinion. But what you see as troublesome, I see as a potential source of interesting situations. You would need to adapt to your character's circumstances. It's harsh, yes. But it's more or less what survival is all about. No?
Nodgel 0 Posted May 25, 2012 If its random, people will just respawn until they get the body they want. I don't think it will work.
