What happened: Player corpses disappearing when they disconnect/respawn

Where you were: Anywhere in-game

What you were doing: Attempting to loot/recover items from a corpse's inventory

Current installed version: 1.5.8.4

Server(s) you were on: All servers

There's already a good discussion thread going on the issue, but I feel a bug report is necessary anyway.

As the thread title suggests, corpses have begun disappearing whenever a player respawns, obviously making it impossible to loot/recover the items in their inventory. This is obviously a major part of gameplay and I'm hoping it's not intentional. Though I imagine if it was intended it would have appeared in the patch notes.
