Best and Worst $30 I ever spent.

Spending hours in a game finding some amazing items and what not to be set for quite some time, only to be turned into a cow, and watch me shoot myself. Then turned into a zombie to watch me eat myself. Well you can see how frustrating it might be. And thats not the first time I have been royally effed by either a hacker or admin. Unfortunately, until they clean this game up a bit, and tell the f@*king admins to knock it off. I myself find it hard to want to play or even promote it to friends who would be interested.

I am going to try it out, its just that a game like Day Z is built for a gamer like me. Hell like us. Its perfect in its idea. But as always, flawed in its conception.

I've logged 157 hours on ARMA II, according to Steam. Only 25 on DayZ.

ARMA II is a fantastic game, whether in single player, multiplayer (without DayZ,) modding potential, and the editor.

DayZ didn't even exist when ARMA was in its prime, its simply been standing out as an exceptional game.

Give it a try while your waiting for DayZ to become more stable.

1. It's not a game, it's a mod

2. It's an alpha

3. You did not pay for it, it's free

4. You're an idiot

You do realize that you didn't pay for DayZ right?

That was harsh. :(

Tired of people complaining how they wasted 30 bucks on a free mod. Edited by SadPanda

Nah that wasn't harsh at all considering these kind of threads are posted daily.

I realize I didnt pay for the mod, but that doesnt give admins the right to wave their INTERNET dicks all over my monitor.

And Un beknowest to you, I only bought the game for Day Z. and I am of course open to the idea of playing that game alone as well. Just voicing an opinion on people who abuse their power.

I was an admin for a CS 1.6 server and a CSS server, and we had clear guidelines on how to behave. But that game didnt involve you spending HOURS searching and investing in a character.

P.S. Its not an attack on the developers, its a COMMENT about the people running the servers. and of course the hacker we all can do nothing about. But I'm pretty damn sure all my run ins have been with admins.

I would like to see the moderators get more 'moderatery' like. Start deleting/locking some of the more useless topics/posts.

You could start with the majority of mine.

If you want insta-win go play WoW or something similar. DayZ is designed to be hard.

There will always be people like that, no matter what kind of game you're playing. You might aswell get used to it.

I guess I would prefer if anyone could maybe name some servers or give me some guidance on the "Best" servers to enter that don't involve all that extra "bullshit"

Why is that you think admins are the main concern? I can hardly imagine that a admin would "hack" its own server for the lulz?

If you were really only interested in DayZ, you should have got Arma 2 Free + OA! You would save 15$

Again.

Go play ARMA II standalone. This game has it's kinks and it's hackers.

Alas most admins can't do shit against them.

Once the rules for admins get Revised then stuff will get better.

I hope so, thats my only real gripe. I really hate admin abuse. Its a priviledge, not a right
