Ampoliros 43 Posted August 4, 2012 Last night on our brand new clan server we came across 3 separate hacker groups. Out of the 15 people on the server, at least 6 were hackers, hacking in 2 choppers (Stole 1 and saw the second crash) and indestructible buses. So yeah. Waaaaaah Hackers. Oh, and BLAM BLAM thanks for the chopper, hacker. Then this morning: Waaaah Hackers scripting out the vehicle locations and stealing it back. Funny how none of my tents without a vehicle nearby get raided, but if I have a vehicle there I might as well fill it up with rocks and shoot out the tires. Beanbag Brad 5 Posted August 4, 2012 Sorry to say it but the only way the issue is going to be resolved is if a major portion of the player base is up in arms about it.- no I don't mind starting from scratch, even after having a full kit of gear, or waiting 5mins+ on loading screens.- yes, I have the ability to ignore the threads (I know its hard mate but make an effort.)- yes you're an idiot of a power trip trying to prove your "little" point to the world of DayZ players. If there's a major issue in the game, and its threatening to thin the players of said game the DEVS will do something about it. A similar issue happened on EVE Online, the players threw their toys out of the cot, stopped playing, the company lost millions, fired 20 people and were FORCED to change their focus.I for one welcome it to be resolved ASAP over other bugs or issues. Even though I've only been a victim to hacking twice. Its a massive issue, especially for people with low patience (see most gamers.)
osirish 165 Posted August 4, 2012 (edited) Our server was teleported 3 times in the couple of hours I was on, the day before yesterday. That's 120 players that were affected excluding the douchebags who did it. I was expecting a pile of hacker reports with our server name in the title ... and you know, UGG, not a single person came here to report it.That would indicate to me, that for every player that is pissed off about cheaters and actually posts here, the problem is 100's of times worse. I'm thankful for the few players that do cry about it, because if it keeps getting worse, maybe someone will sit up and take more notice. The streamers are commenting on the problem, the youtubers are commenting on the problem, the dayz forums are commenting on the problem, third party websites are commenting on the problem. It is only a matter of time before the major gaming sites start commenting on the problem. The only thing I've heard from Rocket or the DayZ team, that could be considered "official", is that they are looking into allowing private hives and possibly passworded servers.I do understand it is an engine issue with arma 2 and not dayz. I do understand that BE are the ones supposed to be doing something about it. I do understand it is an alpha. I do understand that it is an "experiment." The issue is that the "experiment" was a success. DayZ is responsible for more copies of arma 2 and OA being sold for DayZ, than the original game, afaik. Now it needs to be taken seriously, and you coming up with cry baby statements that "cheating threads piss you off" is only adding to the problem.
