Never had such a rush

Recommended Posts

Come out of the red apartments in Cherno after getting some fairly average loot. Crouch down to look at my bag as I do I see another player looking at prone in the grass. I turn to my left to look at him we both stare at each other for a few seconds, he starts firing at me with his 1911, I start walking towards him and shooting with my Makarov, we get point blank both 1m away from each other shooting at each other, I manage to reload quicker than he does. We both keep shooting, I'm bleeding to death, so is he, I just manage to kill him. I go over and look at what he had, I feast my eyes on a AS50, 1911, Alice Pack, GPS, plenty of ammo, etc.

Biggest rush, I'm shaking.

haha, sounds good man.

The rush that this game gives me (even after 3-4 months) is just unrivaled in any other game.

I once had a a situation like this one you just mentioned, we both had pistols and I won out luckily. Funny thing was that we both had nice man guns but we both ran out of ammo lol.

Its a little weird to me that I still get this adrenaline rush and heart pumping so fast in this game after all this 100+ hours playing dayz. Even with all the crazy shit that ive seen and witnessed in the game, I still get paranoid when I hear a gun shot or see somone haha. No other shooter has been able to do that for me before.

This is the part that worries me, "I start walking towards him". When pistols do so little damage that two people can clash like a page from Clash of the Titans and take time to RELOAD to finish killing each other, you know realism is gone.

But good work OP. Many of us have had this happen, and many times you'll see it happen again.

Yeah, DayZ PvP feels like EvE Online PvP. Even if I'm just watching a bandit through my binocs and waiting for a chance to advance on him unseen, I get a rush above and beyond what I feel sprinting through a lead storm and lobbing grenades in CoD or Halo. It's so gritty, and the stakes are so high, you can't help but get emotionally invested in the situation.
