Some Suggestions

Recommended Posts

Suggestions:

1)Reduce lag across all servers by booting players above a set amount of ping. Optimized ping is of course around 10-125

2)Make zombies slower. If server or player is laggy, they are just too O.P. Other than lag, they are stilll wayyyyy too fast.

3.)Make zombies unable to teleport through every piece of cover on the map. If its small cover, at least play vaulting animation, which can slow them down.

4.)Make PVP optional through action menu. If PVP enable, player can kill other players who enabled theres.

5.)Make backpacks work more like ACE backpacks. This way players can transfer items from main inventory, to backpack without dropping it first.

6.)Create a "safe haven" or initial spawn point where players can meet, trade, and talk. Then can choose to spawn near the major towns/cities through flag-pole menu. (Like Domination with MHQ) This way, teaming up with friends online is a lot easier.

7.)Add bosses. These said bosses should be easy to spot via color difference, or physical difference. 5 bosses should spawn randomly in major cities only when the player aggression in major cities reaches a certain point.

8.) Remove complete restart at respawn. As an MMO, it is imperitive u keep players coming back for more. Its a huge turn off to lose hours of work from a single glitch or fault.

9)Make ur mod part of a standalone with ArmaII Free. Im hearing a lot of "wasted money for this mod". Althought BI loves u, the community is upset. Also if done, ADVERTISE better that ur game is still WIP. Dont let players waist money on something they dont like, even if its an unfinished product. (PS. i bought ArmaII a long time ago, so its not me complaining)

1) Ping of individual players has a negligible impact on overall lag.

2) The point of the mod is that zombies are to be feared, and it is hard to survive.

3) I agree, but this might be limited by the engine

4) Ridiculous, the whole point of the mod is survival against other players and the zombies.

5) You can transfer items to your backpack already

6) Choosing spawnpoints is a terrible idea, however, a safe place could be implemented.

7) Bosses take away from the 'realism' of the game, and turns it in to a game like L4D. Also completely fucks up the atmosphere.

8) NO. This is survival, if you can't deal with losing your stuff when you die, go play Fallout.

9) Aspects of the game NEED Operation Arrowhead. Besides, the guy works for BI, you can't blame him for wanting to sell the game he is partly responsible for making.

Ok, i see where your coming from. I do like the realism, But in the end its still just a game. And with so much potetial to make it into a full blown MMO, why not add all the key MMO options? Plus, with the PVP option, players have the opportunity to play the game their way as looters, not killers. And i agree on the losing your stuff thing "this is survival", but then just add a place to put ur stuff that can only be accessed by you. And i did not know that this mod was made by a developer? That makes it much better that he makes DAYZ into an MMO. And lastly, zombies are still feared, especially with the addition of bosses. The point of an MMO is not to take away from the realism, but to accept the fictional world into your own reality, creating complete immersion.
