bobalonius 11 Posted August 4, 2012 will a broken bone heal over time, or does it require morphine?

Siberian (DayZ) 527 Posted August 4, 2012 enjoy the crawling..it might be faster to crawl somewere that you know and can get back to quickly/easily. draw Zombels to you... then run beach to your corpse from the beach.if its worth the effort..sometiems its better to just start over and enjoy the excitment of being a fresh spawn again. bobalonius 11 Posted August 4, 2012 i've managed to survive a few days with this life and i've acquired a couple things i'd like to keep, so i'm going to see how close i can get back to the beaches before i die and try to give myself a fighting chance to get back to my body and loot myself. Malachi Krieg 22 Posted August 4, 2012 i've managed to survive a few days with this life and i've acquired a couple things i'd like to keep, so i'm going to see how close i can get back to the beaches before i die and try to give myself a fighting chance to get back to my body and loot myself. You, sir, are a trooper. Should I see you crawling near a shore I will happily help you up. Not that I make my way back down there all the time :) In the future, always keep morphine on you. It magically heals broken legs.. just like real life?
fully 51 Posted August 4, 2012 Ok thats good to know =)I fell down 2 stairs in a barn and broke a bone. Standing on a road and the zombies just look at you, even when you stand and prone!
Malachi Krieg 22 Posted August 4, 2012 Ok thats good to know =)I fell down 2 stairs in a barn and broke a bone. Standing on a road and the zombies just look at you, even when you stand and prone! When you break your legs (assuming it's your legs since it's just generic broken bones... but I didn't fall down with I broke my middle finger last month :P ) you immediately go prone. You can crouch without moving, but for all intents and purposes the game considers you prone and sets your visual/audible meters as if you were prone. Hence why the Zeds just sat there. Now, had you fallen down the barn stairs and the Zeds pointed and laughed... that would have been much more entertaining :)
bobalonius 11 Posted August 4, 2012 (edited) So... last night i get my leg broke by a zombie in the vacinity of Novi Sobor and... well... I have managed to display my stubborn streak. (or is it my masochistic streak starting to show through?) I managed to crawl to the outskirts of Cherno before calling it a night. This morning I have started to make my way towards the hospital. I really am starting to wonder about my sanity. I managed to make my way to the northern hospital in Cherno, found morphine, shot up, grabbed a few spares, and got the hell out of dodge. While this has been a memorable experience, I don't know that I'm all that interested in repeating it. It probably would have been easier and faster to just die and start over. :D Edited August 4, 2012 by bobalonius
