Lost chopper after server crash/restart on UK226

We just repaired a chopper after hours and hours of looking for items, we landed to fuel it up and then took of, flew for 40 sec then we get "message not recieved for ** seconds", then server goes up after a minute and the chopper is gone.... i ran back to where it spawned and there it was, all broken again........ Does it never save?

Uk226 says (stress testing) in its name, does that mean that it maby not are connected to hive?

I think there's a bug with saving vehicles but I'm not sure, someone else confirm it.

I saved it 5 times before we took of after fueling it up, 40 seconds later, poff.

At some point the there was a de-sync.

That or the chopper was initially spawned by a hacker, then damaged. Hacker-spawned vehicles disappear upon server restart.

helicopters don't fit in this game at all anyway. the only thing people use them for are looking for tent cities and vehicles on the map. yea if a zombie apocalypse happened and i had a fully functional chopper i would circle around a small area looking for tents and vehicles to rob instead of escaping, SMH.

But it was on the island, the strange thing tho is that the engine wans't all red, it had a little bit of orange in it not much at all but you could see enough different to se that it wasnt dark red.

someone flew it there ? maybe there was some heavy desync and it didn't save the location properly.

i'd say give it another shot if it aint working suppose you could hold off on the choppers. and wait for a fix if their broken :)

There is maby something with the server.. We started on the server again and everything worked good, found a vs36 truck and repaired it and filled with items, after 2 hours the server restarted and we saved it like 20 times before it restarted, we logged in, a bus stod there?!? no items just the bus, we went back to the spawn location for the vs36 truck and there it stod all broken again. We changed server to UK201 it has the same server host and the same admin, we went on to repair the chopper, made us a camp, saved it 20 time each, that makes it 100 times, logged in now 8 hours later after some sleep, its gone... i dont think anyone stole it because the hiding spot was really good.

All - this is a problem with DayZ I've checked this many times... its even happened to me Q.Q. Got a Chopper/Tent put gear in it or fixed it rebooted they vanished. Speak to Dev Team. Sigh.
