Question about the tents

I had a question about the tents, ive heard a few people say that if you put a unused tent inside a tent, it will disappear. Is this true? We're trying to have an extra tent ready to migrate items in case our server is canceled or goes down or something so we dont want to set the extra tent up just yet. But I want to find out if it will get lost if I put it inside another of the tents. Anyone know?

Sometimes the whole stuff in your tent will disappear after a server restart. Not only for unpitched tents in pitched tents, generally for anything you put in there. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.

You could test the theory and let us know. I've never found a tent in game so I have no idea, maybe someone else who knows will post.
