Roy0441 9 Posted August 4, 2012 Problem. In the wilderness i get about 50-60 fps on the lowest settings possible. when in a city it is unplayable. This should not be the case. I would like to know why my game is performing so poorly. My friend uses nvidea card mid-class which should be equal to my 6970 radeon. What gives? Is there any bios tweaks, a hardware issue or some other possible cause to give me such a terrible performance? This game and Battlefield 3 are the only games that give me this issue. but cod, l4d2, Tera, Skyrim and Diablo 3 can all be played max settings at 60-120 fps. Any source of information on how to pin-point this issue would be awesome. I wanna play at higher settings at least Normal.
KennyNZ 121 Posted August 4, 2012 Your problem could be individual settings within the video settings menu. Could also be settings in the config file. Some of these settings have no effect on FPS, but others will halve it or drop it to near unplayable FPS. I have a similar system to yours. You should be able to find some good threads on these forums or elsewhere regarding video settings/options for arma 2/dayz
