Arma 2 CO: Won't Launch from Steam

Yesterday the game was working just fine, I loaded the game up today as I normally do, the command prompt opens but then it closes and the game doesn't load, anyone else having this problem / know a solution?

I'm launching it from steam. Thanks for any feedback.

Won't work for me when I launch from steam, but works fine when I launch it from DayzCommander.

Update the game and than create a new file, name it anythingyouwant.cmd -> edit -> paste: "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe" "-beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion" "-mod=C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2;Expansion;ca;@dayz""-nosplash"

If your game is installed elswhere, modify.

If it still isn't working, copy the arma2oa.exe out of the beta folder and paste it into the arma 2 OA main folder, point the .cmd to that exe (you should rename it, so it don't overwrite the non beta exe) and try again.

That works just fine for me.

i tried that but got two errors: "No entry'.profilePathDefault' - the game attempted to load then errored again with: Error compiling pixel shader PSSpecularAlpha:0

ok i fixed the pathing to the main folder. its crashing now to "bad serial number given in setup"

Bad serial number given can be fixed if you run arma 2 and OA via steam once :)

But Steam need to be started as administrator (right click on steam.exe)
