Kinda new player hoping to play with other players

I start playing this game a week ago and I currently have pretty good gear. I want to go to the NW Airfield to get a M4A1 CCo SD by myself but it looks like it is pretty dangerous. I just want to go with other players so I'll have less chance to die.
