Make zombies SWARM the sound of gunfire

Recommended Posts

Make it so that when you shoot, you better make it count. This would definitely tone down the KoS, and would ramp up the difficulty for those hardcore players.

I thought they just did. I nearly got stuck in a house earlier with a mile long que of Zeds trying to kill me.

He's also never shot in cherno or elktro

Believe me, I have.

5-10 zombies is nothing to be scared of. I'm talking the WHOLE city raining down on you.

This makes it unrealistic and annoying to get away from one Zed. Sure I can glitch him out by running through a couple doors but that it totally stupid IMO.

You could easily sneak through a town.

And how would it be unrealistic? Guns are LOUD. I don't know if you've ever fired one before, but I have, and believe me you can hear them from VERY far away; now imagine a flesh craving fiend hearing that sound. He'd be on that shit in seconds haha.

Some weapons are fine, but some are just too easy to get away with shooting.

I think all primary weapons need their audio level ranges doubled

This would be great.

I'd like to see zombies move toward gunfire but only attack on sight.

This would not only add an element of difficulty but also new strategies would open up.

Maybe a couple people sit on one side of town and pop a few rounds, lead some zombies out and another person strolls in and scavenges.

On a fresh spawn I found an enfield and 120 rounds of ammo in the high value residentials in Cherno, I resolved not to leave Cherno until I had expended every single one. It took fifteen minutes and I got 105 zombie kills.

That seems fairly swarmy to me.

I like this idea as well, but what happens when someone attracts 80% of the zombies in Elektro with a shot and runs off into the woods to easily lose them? All of a sudden Elektro becomes a ghost town! Then again I'm not to familiar with the spawn mechanics, guess if they quickly respawned in the city that would solve THAT problem.

personaly i think Zeds need to have their pathing AI to the sound of a single shot looked at..

if someone bangs off a bunch of rounds it should be easy for the Zeds to source in on the location, but when you fire off a single round, the entire areas worth of Z's shouldnt have a laser guided beacon to your prone ass hiding in the weeds..

its kinda lame really.. 1 well placed shot, should only bring a couple of Zeds from the immediate area only

One shot brought 75+ zombies down on my head post-patch

The lee enfield does the perfect amount of sound to me. I think every gun should be similar to this... well, primaries at least.

That's something I also think needs to change. It shouldn't be so easy to lose zombies. I think they should add more mechanics that restrict ''loling'' through zombies so easily.
