chombers 2 Posted August 3, 2012 Is there a way for an admin to purposely restart/set the server to hide camps while he is away and then restart the server to have everything come back. I have found it very fishy that during the day my camp full of tents and vehicles are not there while the server admin is not on. I then come back several hours later directly after a fresh server restart and all of my things are there and the admin is magically playing again. Is this something the admin is doing to prevent players from finding his own camp while he is away? I just thought this was a little fishy. Also, when the admin is playing, he will frequently do random restarts to "shake" non regulars off of the server. Please let me know your thoughts here. orwisch@web.de 13 Posted August 3, 2012 (edited) hihion my server it happens from time to time too. vehicle and tents aren't there after a server start. a secound start fix it.if the server admin didnt recognize it (perhaps a script handle the restarts or he restart it via rdp @work) while he is at work/school or somewhere else, the server will run without this stuff and the next restart will fix it (perhaps right when the admin joins)easy solution: go to the hosters (admins) website and write it there, so he has a chance to restart the server manually. Like I said he frequently does random restarts to shake players off of the server so it stays to minimal players. Thanks for your input
chombers 2 Posted August 3, 2012 What is the best way to get proof of an admin abusing his powers like this?
Zera_Grey 28 Posted August 4, 2012 I would say it is abuse just message a dev and they will tell you if he can do that or not. can and allowed are two different things just because he can doesn't mean he is allowed.
