Looks like I am not the only one that thought of this idea :)

I think that being able to fix and restart a power plant that would allow functioning street lighting to come on at night would be a good way to enrich the gameplay environment.

Once repaired (requiring multiple items) the power could be only be turned back on by throwing two switches at the same time, which would require two people to coordinate and cooperate.
