Soldier Clothing

Recommended Posts

found one at the docks in berezino, 100% for sure spawned there. We had been picking up items and dropping them hoping a rotor would spawn and a soldier suit spawned.

I found my Soldier Clothing on a guy that I killed, I put it in my backpack and later when I relogged onto another server, it was turned into Civilian Clothing. It was long enough to have synced, as I kept everything else that I looted so I think that it is hacked?

been wearing mine for a few days now, seems legit

read/heard rocket say somewhere that having non-dayz items will spawn u in either debug forest or at the beach as a new character???

i've picked up mg36, as50 tws, etc and they all get removed from inv when i log back in since they are non-dayz weapons, but i still had the mg36 ammo which is weird[threw on a zombie n hide body later that day]...

edit:

did u carry it on u for a good while n moved around before ending that play session? Edited by Deltron3O3O

I only stayed for 5-10 mins after looting because there was 2 guys and 1 of them disconnected so I didn't want to stick around incase he was server hopping, though it was long enough for everything else to save, except the Soldier Clothing, which I think was the first item I took, as I'd never seen it before.

Umm, no. The patch notes say it won't save it to the hive so it just reverts. It doesn't seem to work though because they can still turn you into zombies and you stay as a zombie after relogging. Nothing happens when you have hacked weapons either.

Seems like it is legit, if it spawns in the map and all.

I believe it should be legit and spawn in the game, because if we were in a real life situation like that, and you went to a military base, there is going to be military clothing there without a doubt. but I'm still going to follow the rules until it becomes legit. : )

Read this, all of you. Thank you and have a good day. :)

(Says you can`t have hacked weapons/items in your inventory, you will be branded a hacker.)

"You probably want to get rid of it :) Because when the database scans and find you are holding it, you'll be labeled a hacker and your profile perma-corrupted." Rocket Quote from the link...

So in short you will be branded a hacker. Ie. "your name is on a data file that we erase at the end of each week to free up some cache space"..Even Rockets response is "Meh, nothing is gonna happen bro. We brand you a hacker but, it doesn't mean anything anyways".

Here's the link that you should have posted.

http://www.battleye.com/support.html

Quote from Battleye. The ones who do the banning...."No one is banned for using non-hack programs (like Fraps, overlays, etc.), picking up or using hacked in-game items, weapons or vehicles, being on a server at the same time as a cheater, or other passive non-cheating activity. Therefore all requests mentioning these things as possible reasons for the global ban are ignored."

So to sum this thread up. Do what you want. Play how you want. Its a damn video game.

You might not be globally banned by Battleye, but a lot admins do locally (server) ban players for hacked items.

From what I can tell the soldier skin is not a legitimate spawn. The only place I've seen it at all has been in hacker boxes and being worn by hackers, or being worn by people who took it from a hacker box. It's certainly not listed on DayZWiki ... although that might not be a 100% accurate source.

And, while the soldier skin is the least of my worries, I consider the use of all hacked items to be disruptive to both my server and to my regular, rule abiding players. On my servers, if you come in with hacked items, and I catch you in the logs, you'll get a warning. If you refuse to listen you'll get kicked. If you come back with hacked items you'll be locally/server banned.

In the DayZMod forum "server" section is a link: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/62195-server-hosting-rules/

I point everyone to rule 11, as quoted below:

11. As a server admin you must not:

You are not permitted to ban players for killing yourself or clan members.

You are not permitted to shutdown your server when your killed.

You are not permitted to shutdown your server when you lose a vehicle.

You are not permitted to kick or ban for smacktalk.

You are not permitted to ban for suspected cheats or exploits of a non-server-disruptive nature, including but not limited to ghosting, unverified cheating, duping and similar, UNLESS you have solid evidence, IE logs.

I've underline and bolded the pertinent part. Please notice the part that reads, "... UNLESS you have solid evidence, IE logs."

Since hacked items are cheating, and (for the most part) hacked items are logged, which makes it verified cheating, I think that banning people at the server level for having them more than meets the requirements set forth in rule 11. No amount of crying, "but Rocket said ...," is going to change that.

Need more grounds to ban people than "HE IS WEARING DAT DER SOLDIER CLOTHES BAN!!!". I can barely ban people for TELEPORTING. So if I see a guy with soldier clothes, I'm not gonna sweat it. What I WILL worry about is the red beret outfit, now that is a HACKER ALERT outfit.

I would love to have that red beret skin......GO AIRBORNE!!!!

I don't know how to or to whom say this but

ROCKET make more "skins" in alpha, starting by making Soldier Uniform available
