I think it would have more advantages than drawbacks, given that snipers could pick you off ten times easier, however that's a risk you'll have to take.

Would be the cheap man's NVG's, could have it as a very rare industrial spawn.

I like this; basically a big "shot here" sign, but if you're going to have your flashlight out anyway you already are expecting to get shot. Plus, it would free up your hand to hold a pistol so you don't have to go through the animations to put away your flashlight and draw your pistol.

You may want to rename your title though.

I'd almost feel bad for shooting anyone new enough to use one of these. I've only seen one person use a flashlight, a new guy walking along the road out of Elektro. He was lucky I was too busy finding parts to repair the helicopter.
