Server hangs at 'Waiting for Server Response'

Any server I choose to go to today hangs at 'Waiting for Server Response' for a good ten minutes, then when I finally enter the game, I spawn in some forest in the middle of nowhere, I have no equipment (should have a whole stack of stuff), and the DayZ HUD isn't there - no debug monitor, no Humanity, Temperature, Drink, Blood and Food indicators. What's going on? Is it the server? Some file I'm missing?

Yep, this started happening about 9 hours ago for me. I just quit and went to bed, but I thought I'd tried again this morning and it still won't work. All of the other Aussies that I talk to say that they can't get into servers either - everyone is stuck at "Waiting for server response" indefinitely until they spawn in the 'waiting forest' (in my case I also once spawned in the ocean far enough from land that I was drowning).

No idea what's wrong.

finnally spawned, and a randome forest, bunch of head silohets in the left bottom corner, couldnt move, had no gear interface etc
