How come a small amt. of servers have global chat now?

Kind've missed chatting hopeless fools regarding their location and wanting to 'buddy' up or needing help. Sure was a good time sink while i had to travel across the map to go do something. Is it entirely dependent upon the server/admin?

No, global chat is disbled from DayZ because chatting with people that aren't near you isn't really realistic.

There are servers that are discounted from the HIVE (run their own character database) that have server wide chat enabled.

Neither is applying morphine to a broken leg and bam your able to walk again
