Liar 0 Posted May 25, 2012 Since the 1.5.8.2 patch I've been struggling to use items such as bandages or blood packs on other players. I'm not sure how that is supposed to work with the new right click items to use.Can anyone explain how to go about it now?

Bandit Hunter 29 Posted May 25, 2012 I know its possible, as somebody bandaged me shortly after the update. However, I have no friends to try healing myself. Assuming its the same as before, it should be the mouse wheel.
Liar 0 Posted May 25, 2012 Odd, both me and my friend were trying mousewheel when the other was bleeding and all we could do was go through each others packs, no matter where we were standing... I'll have to try again tonight.
Nocturne (DayZ) 0 Posted May 25, 2012 I have this same problem, however, if you hold your middle-mouse button down while looking away, then drag it over your friend, the context menus will pop up, then you can scroll and click to select your preferred action. Not ideal I know but it works. It also works for other actions such as interacting with backpacks, dead bodies, fallen animals and campfires etc...Hope this helps!
Liar 0 Posted May 25, 2012 I experienced the same thing playing last night, if you open the menu looking away and then target them it works. Thanks for the tip.
LeYuno (DayZ) 51 Posted May 25, 2012 I had a mishap with this.. I wanted to switch weapons to get a zed that was next to a goat i was planning on killing.. when suddenly my character starts lighting a fire. Apparently there were logs at my feet from a previous survivor who left them there and i was standing right on top of them at the moment. Had to eat one of the meat i cooked right away to cover the blood loss.. pitty.
