Manually update, I had the same issue once.

Just google Arma II beta patch, and download the latest.

Already have, thrice. Still no luck. Thanks though.

you haven't enabled the beta patch, either use the expansion menu.

or add " -beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -nosplash " to your launch options/shortcut

I went into the expansion menu and it was enabled. Mind explaining how i can add " -beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -nosplash " to the launch options?

Right click Arrowhead in steam, go into properties and then launch options. But if the beta patch is enabled in the expansion menu. It shouldn't change anything.

problem resolved here's how for any future encounters

1) Download beta 95417 from here [1] http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php

2) Install it

3) go to \steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta & copy "arma2oa.exe"

4) go to \steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\ and paste the .exe you copied. Choose "overwrite" when given the option.
