UK3 Admins hate to die? or even HACKS?

I'm all about fair play and today I got killed in the server UK3 by a guy with loads of equipment. No biggie I die all the time, but my friend was nearby and looking at this person. He killed the guy and checked out his body. So hes checking out the gear he had on him and he had a range finder, DMR, NVG, M9 Silenced and loads more of useful equipment. Now this is where bells start ringing, I mean sure people are lucky but he has THAT many items? He must be one hell of a lucky guy. Out of a sudden the server starts lagging though and the server laggs out.

A few minute later the server goes back up, but instead of it being open it is locked. It is locked for 5 minutes and then opened again, I saw there were a few people on it and most likely one of them checking out the items. Turns out the guy that killed me and was killed himself was called vPhoenix is an admin of the server and told us the server 'crashed' strangely enough. We also spawned literally 5 minutes before the server crashed and thus I find things very strange. (unfortunately I joined another server in the meanwhile but decided to return later)

Rocket could you please check out what is going on here. I am all about fair play but Admins crashing their server when they are dying so it wont save and with these sort of equipment can't be legit. And if I'm wrong i'm sorry for making this post but this seems all too shady for me. The server had no lagspikes or desyncs at all before it went down so I'm pretty sure something is wrong. And the admins weren't even friendly while questioning them, they were rather rude and even making up things.

I dont think he managed to get what he want anyway as the server should autosave as soon as something happens with him. If he dies it should get saved instantly. But sure its suspicious and it would be great if rocket could take a look at it.

Yeah but that only happens if the player crashes, not if the server crashes I believe.

But it did take a few minutes after his death before he crashed the server right? If so it should be saved already in the DB.

I dont think its a really good way to avoid this now when things is saved in the background, before the last patch you could just hard exit the game and it never saved. But as it is now I think it should be saved on big "happening" like player death etc.

Maybe a minute? maybe two tops. A few minutes, but the server rolled back to a waaaaaaaay earlier point. So I dont think it saves his death before he crashed. But i'm not too sure about it, either way its waaaaay to shady to go unnoticed. Why does the server have to be locked when its back up?

- Hive may of been acting up beforehand and the server may of crashed due to it

- Bad luck mixed with bugs.

Sometimes the servers rollback on their own, after all this is an Alpha.

Server admins will frequently lock a server to do a controlled launch.

As for what set off your alarm bells, well, I hope you don't ever see the group I roll with, because we have four DMRs between use, all six (or so?) of us with NVGs, GPSs, silenced weapons for zombie killing, and that's not the mention the M14s, M16 ACOGs, and vehicles.

Oh and yes, I saw certain admins restart servers whenever something bad happens to them in game.

That means the server likely did crash rather than being closed gracefully (unless they pulled the plug on the actual server at the data center/colo center' date=' which I really, really doubt).

Its funny that you mention good equipment as suspicious. Visit the barracks a couple times and you will get a DMR etc. too.

Yeah I visited the barracks today for 6hours straight on different servers, I found nothing but smokes and stupid AK's. Guess i'm really unlucky.

Most of your points have been explained by other users on the forum and I am glad they have some sense and make legitimate points rather than just witch hunt on hear say :heart:

I just popped on to add a few of my own points and hopefully help resolve your misunderstanding and misdirected anger.

First of all, good gear is more than readily available in the north it's not uncommon to find people carrying a lot of high end loot from farming of the nw barracks for example. I see you said you haven't found anything good yet but trust me keep trying and you will ;)

Second the server was locked after the crash to allow tents and vehicles to spawn correctly, it seems that without doing this tents and vehicles vanish randomly. Another server admin in the post points this out.

Thirdly, I did not kill anyone on the night in question let alone get shot by anyone, so I am afraid you are mistaken and it simple was not me. I have several people that can vouch for me being half way across the map at the time, since I seem to remember you said it happened in Cherno or elektro. Another point is that no FS member was in your location at the time.

Just to finish off, I tried and would have explained these simple points to you at the time but tbh you were jumping to conclusions and being rude :( I had no control over the server crashing, had no reason to crash it?! and it happens, just the other day it crashed and when I reconnected I was in purgatory and was forced to respawn myself, bye bye good loot. So i do understand your anger and frustration but just calm down next time and realise that other gamers have feelings too.

Fair enough, it just seemed very strange to me all. Thanks for your clarification once again and sorry if I might have been rude. I was very pissed and still perplexed that someone can have that much of equipment. I've been walking around the airfield for ages and all I found was a G17 :(

Dam that is unlucky, one occasion I recall heading to the northern barracks and finding a M240 thought wow and took it to my tent, came back later to find a mk48 and a M107 in one run ;)

I will suggest a mod closes the thread since the issue is resolved and this will head off topic :idea:
