sherlock (DayZ) 31 Posted May 25, 2012 You didn't start the game as combined operations. Follow these steps to install and launch dayZ correctly:1) Install both games2) run Steam as administrator3) run Arma 2 untill you see the menue screen and exit again4) run Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead untill you see the menue screen and exit again(3&4 are necessary for steam to realise you got everything to launch combined operations)5) install dayZ6) double click (or select "play") on Operation Arrowhead in your steam library, a window will now open giving you 4 options7) select "Launch Arma 2: Combined Operations" and click on "play"8) you're done. have fun surviving :DEdit: I've just read in another forum thread that someone had to install the two games after each other (first Arma 2 then Operation Arrowhead in order to be able to launch combined operations). So if the above doesn't work try to install them in order to be able to launch them as combined operations.I hope I could help to solve your problem.
Thunderous71 0 Posted May 25, 2012 I'm getting the same problem, will work for one or two sessions then fail with the above errors. Then have to reinstall the mod / game to get it to work again. This is using the steam download.
sherlock (DayZ) 31 Posted May 25, 2012 With steam you don't have to download the whole game again in most cases. Check the integrity of the game cache. To do this:1) right-click on the game2) select "properties"3) click on the "local files" tab4) select "verify integrity of the game cache..."It's odd that it would work for a couple of times and then just "loose" content from Arma 2. Are you sure you launched it every time as "combined operations"?Hope this helps.
