Mild concern with upcoming patches?

Recommended Posts

Apparently I live under a rock and only noticed the new patch release but I'm a bit worried...

What's up with just doing bug fixes? Rocket has stated repeatedly that alpha is for implementation testing (adding new content and seeing how it works), beta should be for bug fixing.

Now I know some of the bugs make the game virtually unplayable ie: dead body/barbed wire artefacts, but really there was only one new feature and it's not even really client-facing.

Don't get me wrong here, I'm actually optimistic with this! Perhaps instead of adding new stuff, they're merely bugfixing what they have, and adding all the new stuff to the standalone version they're creating?

Thoughts?

In some ways your right, it IS supposed to be about adding the new content / trying new things, but I think the forum folk and the userbase has been very vocal about the bugs and many even claiming to "rage quit" because of them, I think the bug fixes are basically being done to try to keep as many people playing as possible. So in a way it's our own fault that things went this way.
