Trusted / Untrusted player list

Does anyone know if there is anywhere we can post players that are "Trusted" or "Untrusted". Or would this be like pissing in the wind?

I have a doc on my desktop that I add to as I come across players, and if they are friendly I not this, and maybe a quick reason why (Game me been, info, didn't shoot

etc)

I am sure it cold be abused by bandits just saying all their mates are friendly etc, and saying everyone else is untrusted. But maybe it could be just the usual + or - mechanic like a lot of websites use for posts/comments. but maybe it could be smarter than that and give a persons "vote" on a player based on how trustworthy that person is.

So if a person with low trust score would have little affect when + or - another players score.

As I said, maybe this is just pissing in the wind thinking this kind of thing would work, but it might.

It would be nice to see some kind of reputation follow a player. I know there was something based on players killing other players, but that is an internal game mechanic that has been dropped. I am thinking something could be done here in the forums (or a game mechanic).

It would mean that if you decide to go rouge then people will not trust you and make it a bit easier for the friendlies to identify each other. try to curb this shoot then ask question mentality.

You can't make a definite list. People's stance of how they play the game change frequently.

Its like sex for the first time. Your best bet if you aren't sure is to observe the other player and see what they are wearing and what weapons they have. I have met a handful of friendlies on the coast, but they had no weapons. I'm more then sure If they had a gun I'd be dead.

You can't trust anyone really, so distance yourself from people that aren't actually your friends on teamspeak or ventrilo. Never hike with a random person, because it's very difficult to communicate and they will probably kill you if you find a cool item.

From what I've read they will put player stats up on the website, who knows when. Good luck and don't trust anyone!

if your unsure of an player if u meet em face to face, dont just shoot em. yell friendly. iv done it several times, it works from time to time. if your alone in electro, a second player may come handy ;)

Such a list may be implausible for day-to-day play.

However, I can see this idea being particularly suited for the Trade aspect of this game.

Unfortunately you can make a new profile (name). So who knows?

Not everyone that yells friendly is indeed friendly.. be careful... Also players can change their in-game names so not really plausible at the moment... also in some servers you dont know the name of the person you come up on if name tags are off...
