I believe the day is too bright and we need an item called sunglasses to negate the brightness of daytime.

Lower your brightness to fix your own comfort level against the sun. I have no issue with it, it may be your monitor.

As for sunglasses as a style item, some servers allow it already.

Is this not a default Arma 2 feature? Change your player profile settings, you can set a face/ sunglasses.
