Found a downed heli

Got a As50 with 2 mags from it, put it in backpack

Played on for about 1.5 hours

I noticed nothing was spawning anywhere I was near, 3 deer stands had nothing, barns etc

Decided to log onto different server

When I logged on my backpack was filled with stuff I had about 3 hours ago. AS50 was gone!!

Why did this happen? Is it a knon issue?

I've noticed that this happens when the server you're playing on has issues connecting to the Hive.

I've had something similar happen to me but I associated it with putting on a ghillie suit... not sure though - this was on 1.7.2.2 or .3

How do you know servers have this problem?

Most of the time, you'll noticed it take the server a bit to respond to things like picking up items.

This. I had a AS50. Died. Along the way i picked up a AKM and Kobra. I ended up retrieving my things including AS50. Put in back pack so I can use Kobra. Logged out. Logged back in later with some friends, and the AS50 was replaced with the AKM.

From now on, if you ever have to log out, just make sure to have the weapon you want to keep in you inventory. I will start to do that.

Sounds like you were on a hacked server where you got your gear.

Had similar issues several times. Wasted three sniper bandits, looted their bodies. NVG, AS50 and more on all three. When I logged back into the game all the stuff I had collected off of them was gone, except the AS50's which had been turned into Bison's.
