So if I were to buy a server that was run legit. . . would it be possible to run it locked with requests to join always given, but as soon as someone runs a script they get the boot? Just an idea. . . I'm tired of not being able to play the game legitimately and that's the only way I can think of to keep a legit server at this point. I mean even suggesting playing legitimately on these forms is tackled by trolls and flamers. So I'm looking for a way to have a legitimate server with legitimate streamers. This open server thing is a bit dumb now no?

Yup, don't bother buying a server since admins cannot do shit against Hackers.

Buy a Sanctuary server and have fun banning and locking your server at will.

Bypassing rocket doesn't interest me, but running a server free of script kiddies does, I feel if they can't protect players then admins should be able to is all. Like a new player every 3-4 days watch them on the logs and then bring in the next, as soon as they do something funny they get the boot. I mean it sucks not having a fully open server yet, I'm not playing till this assault ends. It kinda feels like the end of Dayz

Oh, there are hackers and cheaters? Nah, who cares. We are unable to do anything, so they must be part of the game. Oh, there are people who lock their servers? Shut them down and let them lose all their vehicles and stuff in it!!! These evil bastards.

You, DayZ, have some good priorities. I can't understand it. It's ok, if I lose my stuff by getting killed by someone else (no hacker), through an accident or by my own stupidity. But it's not ok, if I lose it by mass teleport, mass kill, teleporters etc. and YOU forbid the only way to stop this shit. I had so much fun playing with some friends via TeamSpeak (up to 10-12) on a locked server. This game has never been better. My crystal ball says this game has a very bad future. And that's sad.
