Fails to load game, Cmd prompt opens and closes

When I go to launch Arma2:CO a cmd prompt opens and closes within a half second. I used the install tool to install dayz and I have the launch option correct, and I launch from Combined Operations, not arrowhead. If it is relevant I have the steam version. The picture is hard to see but you can see there is a Cmd prompt that came up, and I just barely got a screen cap of it. Any ideas why?

Try to to check the integrity of the game cache (right-click on arma 2, select "properties", click on "local files" and select "verify integrity of game cache...".

Also make sure you followed these steps:

1) Install both games

2) run Steam as administrator

3) run Arma 2 untill you see the menue screen and exit again

4) run Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead untill you see the menue screen and exit again

(3&4 are necessary for steam to realise you got everything to launch combined operations)

5) install dayZ (I prefer the mannual way)

6) double click (or select "play") on Operation Arrowhead in your steam library, a window will now open giving you 4 options

7) select "Launch Arma 2: Combined Operations" and click on "play"

Edit: I've just read in another forum thread that someone had to install the two games after each other (first Arma 2 then Operation Arrowhead in order to be able to launch combined operations)
