Team Option to help with trust

Recommended Posts

Before entering a server have an option to join a team. By default your in Team A. This team consists of everyone on the server by default. If you choose to join a different team you may do so and there can be as many different teams on a said server at any time.

Rules for the teams:

Friendly Fire is disabled for anyone on your team. This will help people actually team up knowing they're safe while still allowing bandits to do what they do.

If you want a private team that is fine to allow teams of bandits to group up and take out Team A (the main team server) and other teams of bandits.

If you want to ride solo simply join a team by yourself and set it to private.

If you want a team but not the whole server on your side join an available public team.

Joining a said team will not change anything about the game, you will not be able to see or communicate with your team unless you find one of them. Instead of color x for their name like enemies, their names will appear as color y.

__________

This will add a lot more aspects to the game such as safe trading among players and the ability to find trustworthy survivors to join up with on a later date.

__________

Not a flawless idea I know but some form of this would add a lot more to the game.

I like the idea of some sort of team function, especially for sharing map markers with only selected individuals, or, should radios be implemented any time soon, a private ingame voice chat channel.

What I strongly disagree with, however, is Friendly Fire off... If you choose to throw a grenade and it bounces back, or you just go unaimed + crazy with that full auto AK/M249/whatever, you (or your buddies) should pay the price imho.
