Combined Ops crashing on launch

Recommended Posts

I have sort of an interesting situation, I'm trying to help my brother install DayZ, but I'm not physically there so there's a bit of a barrier when I'm trying to help him. He has the correct files in the @DayZ folder and has the extension -mod=@dayz and -nosplash in the startup params.

He says that when he tries to launch the game he sees a cmd prompt for a brief moment and then nothing happens from that point.

He's able to launch the standalone games, but not when he launches Combined Ops.

I'll get more info later today when he gets home from work and I know I'm not giving much information to go on, but I was hoping to see if anyone had any ideas in the mean time.

We haven't tried sixlauncher or dayzcommander yet, but that is an option.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Thanks, I guess I was searching for things too DayZ specific when I typed in game crash on startup, I'll have him try that when he gets home.

He can't even find that file in the arma2 OA folder, I can't either tbh.

He did a file verification and I guess there was a file missing. He's going to reinstall and we'll try this all over again.

try running steam as administrator and then run both ArmA2 and ArmA2:OA once.. then try to run CO

or try to make a screenshot of that command line to see what it say there
