How to update without sixupdaters FING BLOATWARE

Recommended Posts

Hello, so my problem is I just installed Dayz for the first time yesterday, I used the files from this website but it seems I have the wrong version or something because 90% of the servers have a red X by them and wont let me connect, and I cant figure out how to update dayz.

I searched all over this website and in google for answers and it seems everywhere it just says get sixupdater. When I try to install it, its just FING PACKED with bloatware, it lets me uncheck some of the programs, but to complete the installation it requires me to click accept to install some Fing toolbars or some crap. Am I missing something?! is there a way to get around that crap? can I just update without that program?

very confused and frustrated! please help!

IDK what your issue is, but i am guessing you are having issues with the beta.

This link will help. Especially if you have steam.

you need to download and install the Arma2 beta files.

here http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php/

I would look at the server list in game to figure out which beta version you need Servers have a beta #####. Just see which one is being used the most and download/install that beta patch from the link. The latest beta patch is on the top green bar.
