Quick question about loading screen.

Hello everyone!

I had a question about the loading screen you see while hopping into a server. Once I hit OK I often times am forced to sit on a long "loading" for about five minutes or so.

I also saw on the pending update: "* [NEW] Additional optimizations to login process (further use of publicVariableClient to reduce network transmission)"

Are these directly linked?

and if not, why do some servers have such long load times?

My favorite server went down for good, and I have been searching through the thousands of other servers for a replacement. For my play style I am looking for low populated servers with quick load times. As a result of trying the many other servers I have noticed the long load time.

Sometimes it takes one minutes, sometimes 10 or endless. Just wait and calm down, there will be a fix for this waiting I hope.

You can't do much about it and I don't even know why some servers are fast and others aren't. (:

I don't mean to sound as if I am complaining. I am just interested in knowing more about it.

The only real fix I found that is temporary is uninstalling the game and the Six Launcher then reinstalling them all over again. For me it's a pain to do as I have mine on Steam and have to wait a hour or so until it is downloaded. I don't know about you guys but this seems to happen to me when I die and then I just switch to another server.

The loading is down to the server, some are much faster than others. It probably is also related to when the server last restarted and how often it restarts.

I have found the lower the server pop, the faster it loads. A 15/50 game loaded within 30 seconds yet a 45/50 loaded within a few mins. Hopefully they fix it somehow....
