Did I install in correctly?

I dont have the steam version so this is what I did.

In my combinded operations folder I made a folder "@DayZ"

In that folder I made a folder called "addons"

In that folder I put all the DayZ files in it and extracted all

In the target field under properties I put "-mod=@DayZ"

When I log in at the menu, the "DayZ" is at the top right hand corner.

When I go into a server it says "connection failed".

Did you update your Arma to 1.60?

Your Arma II has to be patched to 1.60, and to do that you need to have your OA install in the same directory as the original Arma II install.
