I'm a more experienced player and spawned in Elektro, being lucky I looted the apartment buildings, the firehouse and the school building. Having enough food, water, and ammo, I continued up north with an AKM, and a Revolver. I made my way through Pusta, through Mogliveka, and went to Stary Sobor, on my way, I found a helicopter crash, which had an M14 AIM. I then continued to Stary Sobor military camps, and since my group wasn't online, I was very careful, I scouted out the area, the hill near the tents, and saw no zombies spawning, then I saw them spawn towards the church, there was a bus. I didn't want to shoot or give away my position, so I layed prone there. I then heard the sound of a chopper, and it came and started lighting the hell out of the bus, while the people in the bus were driving away. People got out of the bus and started shooting the heli, taking cover in the super market. Knowing helis have unlimited ammo, the people in the bus are dead. As I ran away and took cover in a thick forest, the last noises I could hear is the chopper crashing and a pillar of smoke just flying into the air, I ran farther, the last sounds being sniper shots. I wish I could've taken a video, but I have Camastia Recorder, and it takes 5 seconds to boot up, freezing everything on your computer.

anyone experience fucking battles in DayZ?
