fujin31@yahoo.com 5 Posted May 24, 2012 I think a penalty system should be introduced to deter players from aborting anytime they are in danger. This is becoming a very popular method of survival for many players. Things like logging off when being chased by zombies, players, etc. Maybe some kind of system to where if the player is engaged in any form with a zed or another player, the abort function becomes inactive for X amount of minutes? I'm not a programmer so I'm really not sure what the best route would be. Just thought I would throw this out there. I think there's more than a few of us that are tired of chasing bandits that can just log out when things aren't in their favor during an encounter. Edit: After thinking about it, there's nothing stopping a player from killing the power to their PC or modem to achieve a disconnect; so there's that issue too. Forum Mods: If this has been discussed at an earlier date, I apologize. I searched but couldn't find a thread devoted strictly to the subject of finding a solution to this issue. Sminky 5 Posted May 25, 2012 My surgestion would be a timer, everytime you take damage there's a 30 secound countdown where if you disconect from the server it will mean permanant Master server death.It would greatly reduce (although not entiley get rid off), the problem, but it's short enough window that you should be ok from slightly unstabel server disconects.That or Rainy nights idea would also work assuming the server info is updated fast enough. There is no way of telling wherever the dude disconnected because of YOU or if it was the computer or network giving up.This is just an unfair way to try to punish people who get away from your gun.
