Weren 1 Posted May 24, 2012 Basicly a way to climb over fences and walls through cooperation with other players. It might be a minor thing, since you can always walk around them anyway, but I think there could be some advantages to using it in certain situations. Here's a picture to demonstrate(Excuse my piss-poor drawing skills?):http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2012/21/1337890359-Teamwork01.pngPS:I tried using the search function, but couldn't find anything similar. Leechman 8 Posted May 24, 2012 lol nice drawing :PNot sure how well it would work with the engine though :/
n7snk 13 Posted May 24, 2012 it can work with engine pretty fine. i belive so, since this is possible to climb over walls by your own vith some scripting
iashford 73 Posted May 25, 2012 I always suggested that co-op/team based games should have a system like that. Boosting players and what not. It worked great in games like ico, syphon filter: omega strain, splinter cell co-op, etc. It's a feature that isn't used enough, and I support the idea. It'd open up new areas to access and hide/loot, like roofs of houses and buses. Imagine coming across two people who have climbed onto a roof and are surrounded by zombies :P
oktyabr 53 Posted May 25, 2012 I agree with the OP. I remember boosting other players in old school CS and really appreciate a game that has some sort of free climb available too, especially to access rooftops, etc.
melanko 0 Posted May 25, 2012 This thought crossed my mind earlier today too. To help players cooperate amongst each other then just kill each other: make some high-end areas of the game accessible unless you have 2 or more survivors helping each other access it. For example, helping get over high walls, getting on top of roofs and large vehicles, lift/push large objects out of blocked paths etc. Even to the point where you can have high security military installations that need dual user access, like using two ID cards scanned at once to access an armory. It could still be cool if you needed to find the ID cards from somewhere, but didn't need another person to scan them.As a matter of fact, I am getting into my head all these ideas of keys you'd have to find for different locks, key combination locks, fingerprint scan. All kinds of mechanisms that would hold higher value loot behind them(or not, they would have a higher chance of spawning there, but it wouldn't be actually written in stone, so you'd still get disappointed) and would require time and effort to find a key or, as you said, another person to open them.
