Zelenogorsk should have a Hospital

Zelenogorsk is a fairly big town which would make sense if there was a hospital there right? It would be nice to have an inland option for medical supplies rather than having to travel the coast which can be a higher risk area. What say you?

I think that its fine the way it is.

Forcing you to return to those areas if you need medical supplies seems like a good idea.

Means having to enter hostile territory to get what you require and get out.

Adds to the game.

That's just my two cents.

A Hospital up north might lower the excitement of having to go get that medical supply you need after all that hard work of getting gear.

Don't stay around Zelenogorsk maybe? All that's there is that chance to spawn vehicles, despite that it's all a lie.

As for it being on the coast, nobody really ever goes up there. I've only encountered three people, a genuine friendly, a bandit (who later took an axe to the back), and a crazy man running through town with an AKM on full auto drawing all the Zombles.

This map belongs to Arma NOT dayz. This map is almost 5 years old. Im not sure I get the point of this post.

I sorta took that into consideration, but imagine this: inland players are usually highly geared, if they all* go to an inland hospital the results would be interesting!

My buddy and I came across our first helicopter crash site the other day, just as we were starting to get worried about low blood and were down to our last 2 morphine.

It was insanely risky, out in an open field, and neither of us were in great shape. But I managed to sneak in and raid the medical box that was still FULL of supplies. Sadly, the guns were already looted.

You CAN find medical supplies inland, but its usually just as risky as heading to the coasts :)

It would be very convienent to have a hospital up north but with the 2 hotspots ( NW AS and Stary ) being as active as they are I think it really adds to the game not having it redily available. My team and I were forced the other day to take our car down to Cherno for medical supplies and it was quite a rush driving through cherno pulling up to the hospital jumping out looting as quickly as possible and driving off into the sunset as some bullets spray our car.... ( they could have just asked for a ride? )

Hm, what about some pharmacy/drugstore.

Wouldn't have blood bags nor as much as medical stuff but still some better chance to get morphine, bandages, painkillers than the average house or military zombie.

Edit: also I think editing the ArmA map is quite possible for DayZ since it seems it was already done.

There's no military tents in Berezino when I play ArmA 2, can anyone confirm?

There are lots of things you can drop onto the map and lots of things you cant. Buildings are one of those things you cant.

Edit for clarification: The Chernarus Map is Baked with buildings, roads, runways, powerpoles, waterline, and flora. (Ie; most static objects)

Spawnables include, tents, vehicles(even destroyed), tank traps, barb wire, rubble, mass graves, etc....

I probly missed stuff but you get the point.

i am sure the OP would be content with a MASH/CSH dropped near Zeleno ;)

IMHO the current placing of main medical spawns opposite of the main military spawns works well and should remain so.

Although, the DayZ Chernarus map was clearly edited, when I play ArmA 2, roads are clear from objects, and there's no military camps/tents in towns (ex: Stary, Cherno and Berezino).

Also, if Rocket can access to the game engine, he probably can edit much further.

Buildings, trees and stuff are "tiles" and can be moved, duplicated or removed in the game engine.

So putting some military tents labelled as medical nearby Zeleno or on the Green Mountain should be possible.
